This line contains the company’s great classics, and it is made up of four Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G., one of which is the Superiore di Cartizze. With this line we want to maximize the noble character of the Valdobbiadene hill and the identity of each single year.
"Le Prate del Cavaliere" Line
The name “Le Prate del Cavaliere” comes from a historic part of land. In this line, creative freedom is the decisive factor. With different blending and careful selections, we try to give continuity to each label’ style in the succession of different years. A line whose pleasure comes from the familiarity of the flavour that is recognized and renewed with each glass.
The number of factors involved in the fermentation of a wine could be said to be almost infinite; just think that mankind has been studying them for centuries to understand them. When we bottle our “Innominato” it is as if we were making a bet with nature, with wine and with the silence of our cellars. It will take months to know the result, but in the end, it will be enough to uncork a bottle to be rewarded for waiting and to taste one of the oldest bubbles there is.
This line was born from the idea of wanting to remember the most important events that occurred throughout the history of our family. These limited-edition labels are created from careful selections that tell the personal moments of Casa Gatto in an original way.
Born in the wine cellar from the assembly of important selections, each bottle ferments freely and independently, it refines on its own yeasts for months sealed in the cellar in via Cartizze 1. In the glass it conquers and declares its uniqueness: the memories are those of “his” first label, the first bubbles of Casa Gatto, the “Gatto Paolino”. With this bottle the Gatto Brothers want to remember one of the most important figures in the house: Paolino.
Alex e Paolo.
Vincenzo Gatto 150°
Was born from the will of the Gatto family to celebrate the beginning of its business in the town of Santo Stefano in Valdobbiadene, which officially took place on November 1st, 1867. The exclusive choice of wines that make up the cuvèe, the long ageing period and the decision to produce only magnums. These are the three factors that have made it possible to obtain a unique product with its own personality.
